Year-End Reflection & Preparation

FOLLOW

Happy New Year! As one year closes and another opens before our eyes, it’s the perfect opportunity to take some time for reflection and preparation. I hope that by thinking upon the questions below, you will receive more appreciation for the growth and lessons learned in 2019 – and more clarity for the work to be done in 2020.

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

                                                                                – Book of Psalms 90.1

In 2019 . . .
One or more thing(s) I spent more time doing than in the past:
One or more topics I learned a lot more about:
One of my best moments (victories, would make the highlight film) of the year:
One of my worst moments of the year:
One or more areas where I grew or made significant progress (this could be skills, relationships, self-leadership, etc):
One or more areas where I wish I had improved or made more progress (this could be skills, relationships at work or home, self-leadership, etc):
One or more areas where I gained greater clarity about myself – who I am, my purpose, what I am capable of doing:
What were the major themes of the year for me?
In the book about my life, what would be the chapter heading for 2019?

In 2020 . . .
One or more aspects of last year that I want to continue or grow/increase:
One or more activities or personal attributes that I want to decrease:
What are the potential major themes of this year? What do I want them to be?
In the book about my life, what do I want the chapter heading to be for 2020?
